Our commitment

Alphabyte IT Limited is committed to making Five Controls (five-controls.co.uk) accessible to everyone, in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2 Level AA).

How we built this site for accessibility

  • Typography and layout: 18px (1.125rem) body text, comfortable line height, and reading lines constrained to around 70 characters, with full zoom support up to 200%+ without horizontal scrolling.
  • Colour and contrast: High-contrast text in both light mode and dark mode. In our interactive tools, red, amber and green status indicators are always paired with clear text labels (Auto-fail, Likely to fail, Needs work, Not sure, OK) so colour is never the only signal.
  • Keyboard navigation: Every navigation menu, dropdown, interactive question step, accordion and form control is operable using a keyboard alone, with a skip-to-content link and high-visibility focus outlines.
  • Screen readers: Semantic HTML5 landmarks, explicit form labels, and ARIA live announcements when tool steps or results update.
